My government is delivering on our promise to rebuild public education, as every child deserves a world-class education in NSW.

As students return to school for term 3, we are delivering better schools for our children, including 21 new and upgraded schools that will begin construction this term.

Kogarah Public School is also receiving a major upgrade with a new multipurpose hall and 24 new permanent classrooms.

These new classrooms provide the best facilities to give our kids the best possible learning environment.

Under the previous Liberal National Government too often our kids where having classes cancelled or being forced into merged classrooms because we didn't have enough teachers.

Our government has reduced the teacher vacancy rate by 40 per cent across the state and in Kogarah we have reduced it by 87 per cent.

We did this by making 16,000 temporary teachers permanent and increasing teachers' pay to attract the best teachers and keep them in the classroom.

Rebuilding our education system takes time, as Premier I know there is more to do, and we are not slowing down as we deliver the biggest investment in public schools in our states history.

We're building 100 new public preschools, all located next to or inside existing public schools, open by 2027.

Not only will these public preschools bring down costs for families, but they will also improve access to early education and give our children the best start in life.

These crucial investments will make a real difference in the lives of kids in our state.

I am committed to making sure every kid in every postcode can receive a world class education in the best facilities possible.

Together we are delivering on our promise to rebuild education in NSW.
